We work in a hybrid mode 3+2, with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment (HPP).

Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Engineering Manager to lead two critical engineering initiatives within the SolarWinds Observability Self‐Hosted product:

  • Software Security Group (SSG)
  • UI Platform Engineering

This role is ideal for a former or hands-on software engineer with strong technical background (leadership experience is a benefit), and a passion for agentic development, AI‐assisted SDLC, and modern engineering practices. You will partner closely with product teams, engineering leadership, and security leadership (including the CISO) to advance our product security posture and accelerate UI modernisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Security Group (SSG) Leadership
  • Lead and evolve a team of experienced security engineers focused on product security and vulnerability management
  • Ensure adherence to vulnerability management policies and ownership of key security KPIs, including Time to Review (TTR) and Time to Address (TTA)
  • Oversee review and triage of internally and externally reported vulnerabilities
  • Drive proof‐of‐concept exploit validation, remediation investigation, and prioritization
  • Guide and support product teams in fixing vulnerabilities based on security findings
  • Own and drive technical product security reviews and product security assessments
  • Lead the development of an agentic / AI‐driven approach to accelerate vulnerability analysis, triage, and remediation workflows
  • Own product SBOM practices and support Incident Commander and CISO during security incidents
  • Act as a trusted technical partner to Security leadership, including the CISO

UI Platform Engineering Leadership

  • Lead a team of senior front‐end and back‐end engineers responsible for SolarWinds on‐prem UI frameworks
  • Own and accelerate the migration from legacy AngularJS‐based UI to modern Angular‐based dashboards
  • Drive platform improvements focused on performance, reliability, usability, and UI load times
  • Establish and maintain scalable, reusable UI frameworks for multiple product teams
  • Champion an AI Agent‐first engineering approach, using agents to assist in:
  • UI migration
  • Development and refactoring
  • Framework evolution and testing
  • Partner with product management and stakeholders to align UI platform strategy with business goals

Cross‐Functional Leadership
Collaborate closely with:

  • Product development teams
  • Engineering leaders
  • Product management and business stakeholders
  • Security leadership and executive stakeholders
  • help with translating product and security strategy into executable technical roadmaps
