Overview

Passionate about 3D, AI, and Simulations that will impact the work of hundreds of thousands of users? Join our AI Prototypes Team to work on AI-assisted Urban Planning and help build tools for urban environments generation, which will promote high standards of living and unique positive experience for residents and guests. This is a great opportunity to join a research-oriented group that works with SOTA architectures and ideas, publishes its research results and contributes to development of next-gen Esri software.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of a Python layer handling integration of generative AI and Traffic Simulation into ArcGIS CityEngine.
  • Contribute to the design and development of Python Geoprocessing tools and services.
  • Development of Python and Screenshot automated tests.
  • Alignment and conversion of various road graph schemas: CityEngine StreetDesigner, OSM, ArcGIS Network Analyst, Esri Roads&Highways.
  • CGA and Visual CGA rules authoring and QA/QC.
  • Qualitative and Quantitative evaluation of the results of Massing generations, 15-minute-city optimizations and Traffic Simulations.
  • Collaborate with other developers and engineers within and across teams throughout the R&D process.
  • Solve and articulate complex problems with design, development, and user experiences.
  • Additional R&D duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience with:
    • ArcGIS Pro and Python Geoprocessing tools
    • CityEngine, CGA, Visual CGA
    • ArcGIS Server REST API and Geoprocessing services
    • Python and Conda on Linux & Windows
    • Test automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or data science, mathematics, urban design, urban planning or related fields
  • Existing work authorization for Switzerland

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3D vector data formats, multiband and elevation rasters
  • Graph algorithms, traffic simulation
  • Urban planning, urban design, AEC experience
  • Scalable processing of large volumes of GIS data
