Staff Quality Systems Engineer - Industrial Engineering
Job Description
Lucid is seeking a Staff Quality Systems Engineer responsible for the day‑to‑day ownership, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that processes, workflows, and system configurations support effective execution of APQP, LQP, supplier quality activities, audits, and risk management. This position partners closely with Supplier Quality, Engineering, Operations, IT, and external suppliers, and serves as a subject‑matter expert for QMS tools and platforms (e.g., Auros or equivalent).
You Will:- Own day-to-day administration, configuration, and performance of the QMS platform.
- Ensure the QMS effectively supports APQP, LQP, supplier assessments, risk management, and corrective actions.
- Maintain alignment between documented quality processes and system workflows.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with security policies.
- Configure and support supplier facing workflows, data capture, reporting, and dashboards.
- Identify system gaps and drive continuous improvement in partnership with IT and QMS vendors.
- Support UAT, testing, and deployment of system enhancements.
- Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing support for internal users and suppliers.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring traceability, documentation, and compliance.
You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or QMS‑related roles.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise QMS platforms (e.g., Auros or similar).
- Proven working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, LQP, AIAG, IATF, and supplier risk management.
- Proven experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, and quality teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and disciplined process execution.
- Experience supporting supplier‑facing QMS workflows.
- Exposure to QMS system administration or configuration (non‑developer).
- Experience with KPI tracking, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Experience working with global or regional teams.
