Role overview

CarGurus is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help lead dealer-facing marketplace initiatives within our International Product team. As one of the fastest-growing areas of our business, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the CarGurus marketplace across our global markets while delivering meaningful value to our customers.

In this role, you will own a key piece of the dealer side of the CarGurus marketplace, identifying high-impact opportunities that improve dealer outcomes and strengthen marketplace performance. Working within a two-sided marketplace, you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, UX/Design, Data Science, and Analytics teams to define, build, and launch products and features that support our growing businesses in Canada and the UK.

This role will also play a critical part in launching CarGurus’ new Dublin technology office. As part of the founding Product and Engineering team in Dublin, you will help shape both the product direction and team culture from the ground up while building products that power CarGurus’ international marketplaces. You will partner closely with the Engineering Manager and a newly forming team of full-stack engineers to establish the team’s product vision, roadmap, and ways of working. Together, you’ll deliver both greenfield initiatives and adaptations of existing CarGurus dealer products for our international customer base.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, tackling complex marketplace problems, and helping build new teams and products from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Help lead the roadmap and strategy for dealer-facing marketplace products within our international markets, ensuring alignment with business goals, dealer needs, and broader company initiatives.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through end-to-end cycles of ideation, discovery, design, development, launch, testing, and iteration to deliver impactful products and features.
  • Partner closely with the Engineering Manager and engineering team in Dublin to establish and deliver high-impact product initiatives.
  • Ideate and research greenfield development initiatives for our international markets in Canada and the UK.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dealer outcomes and marketplace performance by leveraging user research, market insights, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Product Data Analytics teams to translate insights into clear product requirements and prioritized initiatives.
  • Work closely with product leaders responsible for the consumer side of the marketplace to ensure alignment across the platform.
  • Coordinate product launches in partnership with go-to-market teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Support, to drive adoption and success of new products and features.
  • Continually analyze the impact of your team’s work on dealers, consumers, and the CarGurus business, using data to inform iteration and product strategy.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or similar roles in fast-paced, dynamic environments working collaboratively with engineering, design, and analytics teams.
  • Experience owning and delivering products from concept through launch and iteration in high-ownership environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that inform product decisions.
  • Comfort navigating complex and ambiguous problem spaces and distilling them into clear priorities and product requirements.
  • A proven ownership mindset paired with the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Highly curious, with the desire to learn quickly, adapt rapidly, and continuously improve.
  • Strong customer empathy and the ability to understand the needs of both dealers and consumers within a marketplace environment.
  • Experience working on two-sided marketplace products or B2B platforms is a plus.
