As the Global Director of Culture Systems & Belonging you will lead an enterprise change leadership mandate in support of fostering an exceptional employee experience that cultivates inclusive leadership, systems and experiences across the talent life cycle. You will co-create strategy that furthers our focus on enterprise culture transformation for high performance, talent strategy acceleration, and inclusive innovative experiences to advance belonging. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with the VP of Culture & Experience -Chief I&B Officer and Leadership to design and execute impactful initiatives that advance business results across all functions, regions, and the talent lifecycle-culture and employee experience in partnership with Learning & Development and Employee Listening leaders. As a transformational leader, you will leverage your strong understanding of AI to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness and scalability of our culture and belonging efforts leveraging a range of experience across HR functions/CEO’s. Your ability to influence at the enterprise level will help create measurable organizational change and drive meaningful outcomes at Pinterest.

AI-Forward Expectations

At Pinterest, we believe AI is a core capability—not just a tool. In this role, you will be expected to actively leverage AI to elevate the impact, efficiency, and innovation of I&B work across the enterprise:

  • Use AI-powered people analytics platforms to identify inclusion gaps, surface workforce trends, and generate data-driven recommendations for leadership—reducing time spent on manual reporting and increasing strategic impact.
  • Leverage generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Glean) to accelerate the development of I&B frameworks, communications, playbooks, and program content—enabling the team to operate at greater scale with a lean structure.
  • Embed AI literacy and responsible AI use into I&B programming and change initiatives, ensuring that Pinterest’s AI Forward strategy is designed and deployed with inclusion, fairness, and belonging at its core.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Co-create and set the strategic direction for Inclusion & Belonging (I&B) and culture systems ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and enterprise strategy in partnership with the Chief I&B Officer and executive team.
  • Serve as a primary influencer, advisor, and strategic partner to senior executives and functional leaders on I&B and Culture priorities, impact, and trends.
  • Guide the continuous evolution of company-wide I&B interventions, playbooks, and frameworks embedded in business, talent, and engagement priorities.

Enterprise Change & Influence

  • Sponsor and lead company-scale change initiatives to embed inclusion and belonging in all aspects of Pinterest’s culture, operations, and business practices.
  • Build and lead partnerships with executives and cross-functional business leaders to promote, prioritize, and integrate I&B strategy across the enterprise.
  • Sponsor, lead and scale inclusion, fairness, and belonging programs and change initiatives, ensuring organization-wide adoption and sustained transformation.
  • Drive executive alignment, ownership, and accountability for I&B as a business imperative throughout all levels and regions of the company.
  • Create strategy and own, as well as lead and develop enterprise-wide councils (function/region), employee resource groups (Pinclusion Groups), and communities of practice, building global leadership pipelines for I&B impact.

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Advance I&B systems and frameworks across all People processes and talent programs, partnering with L&D and Listening leaders to embed inclusion and belonging into learning, feedback, engagement, hiring, and advancement.
  • Develop and implement robust succession planning for critical I&B leadership roles; build next-generation I&B capability through coaching and leader development.
  • Mentor and grow high-performing teams, managers, and senior ICs within the I&B function and across business partners.

Data-Driven Accountability & Measurement

  • Co-establish and track outcome-driven OKRs/KPIs for belonging and culture systems, in partnership with People Analytics, L&D, and Listening teams.
  • Leverage People Analytics insights to identify trends, adjust strategy, and drive continuous measurable improvements in enterprise talent and engagement outcomes.
  • Ensure rigorous tracking, transparent internal and board-level reporting, and a culture of data-driven action and impact.

Cross-Functional & Global Partnership

  • Forge trusted partnerships with L&D and Listening is central to this role’s impact on embedding I&B and culture in every part of the employee experience.
  • Embed global and local fairness practices into all I&B strategies, adapting solutions for regional and international growth and opportunities.
  • Serve as an internal and external spokesperson for Pinterest’s I&B vision, participating in industry and media events to further brand and impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources or Business Management, or 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to drive and measure program impact and program innovation.
  • Experience designing and leading enterprise-scale inclusion, belonging, and equity strategy and programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive executive-level change, transformation, and measurable results in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Successful history advising C-level executives and senior leaders on talent, engagement, and I&B impact.
  • Experience developing cross-functional and international partnerships, driving business alignment, and scaling inclusive talent practices.
  • Expertise in leveraging analytics, data, and insights in driving leadership accountability and continuous improvement at scale.
  • Demonstrated talent management experience—leading and developing high-performing teams, coaching leaders, and building future capability.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
